For the last 50 years a defining quality of Princess Cruises has been its cuisine. Today Princess Cruises' passion for culinary arts is best expressed in its slogan, 'CHEF' - Culinary Heritage of Excellence in Food. Nowhere is this better showcased than on the 2,600-passenger Grand Princess. This popular ship exudes a contemporary vibe and is brim-full with innovative features like 'Movies Under the Stars'; the adults-only Sanctuary, an outdoor lounge area; and the new nightclub 'One5' where a vibrant ambience is perfect to dance the night away. You can also sip on a variety of soothing teas at 'Leaves Tea Lounge & Library', or enjoy hand-tossed pizzas in Alfredo's, the buzzing pizzeria with views onto the Piazza - the social hub of Grand Princess.
There are six different grades of staterooms on Grand Princess and 80 per cent of the outside staterooms have balconies. The 323 sq ft Mini-Suites have two flat-screen televisions - one can be viewed from the bed, the other from the living room. In the Suite categories, options include a Family Suite; Balcony Suites range from 468 to 591sq ft and feature separate sleeping and living rooms; while the Grand Suite with Balcony comes complete with a faux fireplace in the living room and a whirlpool tub in the bathroom.
Speciality dining options on Grand Princess include Sabatini's - a secluded niche that's reminiscent of a Tuscan villa; and the Crown Grill, a classic steakhouse with rich wood decor that serves seafood and aged, Australian Sterling Silver steaks and chops. Grand Princess also offers an intimate, romantic dining experience on your stateroom balcony known as 'Ultimate Balcony Dining' which features cocktails, flowers, champagne and a deftly-served four-course gourmet meal.
