The newest ship in the fleet, the 3,046 -guest Celebrity Reflection takes all the best features from its sisters and adds a few more. This is a large, sophisticated ship that would appeal to cruise fans of all ages but particularly those who enjoy contemporary decor and evenings that sparkle.
In addition to Opus, the beautiful, two-deck-high dining room, there are numerous alternative restaurants. We love the Lawn Club Grill, an attractive outdoor restaurant on the top deck, overlooking the ship's half acre of living grass. Enjoy a cocktail here while your salmon steaks, tandoori chicken and marinated lamb chops are cooked to order by the chef. Qsine is not to be missed; many of the quirky, colourful dishes are 'self assembly' - for example, you mix your own guacamole and decorate your own cupcakes. For the best steaks, try the Tuscan Grille. Or book one of the Alcoves on the lawn, private cabanas where waiters will bring your favourite dishes, or a picnic in a basket.
There's plenty to do on board, from two generously sized swimming pools to the lavish Canyon Ranch SpaClub, a huge gym, dance classes, a two-deck library and the Authorised Apple Reseller, Celebrity iLounge, which sells Apple products as well as providing an array of Macs for guests to use. Full-scale theatrical shows take place in the Reflection Theatre, while stand-up comedy, movies, cooking demonstrations and lectures complete the picture.
Suite Class has its own dedicated restaurant, a private lounge, butler service and various other perks - worth a try. Having said that, all the cabins on this smart ship which was launched in 2012, are beautifully fitted.
