With a theme celebrating Dutch exploration worldwide, the decor of Holland America Line's Ryndam features art and artefacts from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. At the heart of this 1,270-passenger vessel, a three-deck high atrium features a monumental fountain created in Italy. In fact, one thing you can't miss aboard this spacious ship is elegance at every turn - from a string quartet serenade in the splendid Rotterdam Dining Room to the two-deck high Vermeer Show Lounge.
Accommodation choices aboard Ryndam include Spa Suites and Staterooms which feature modern spa amenities such as yoga mats, iPod docking station and aeven water feature on the dressing table; exclusive spa treatments are also available from the Greenhouse Spa and Salon. In addition there are four major types of accommodation including Interior Staterooms; Oceanview Staterooms; Vista Suites and Neptune Suites.
Ryndam is also one of only a few Holland America ships to feature 'Mix' - a collection of three stylish lounges where the bars specialise in specific drinks: Champagne - for a Buck's Fizz at midday; martinis - for Grey Goose cocktails and Martini flights; and Spirits and Ales - for speciality beers, after-dinner single malts and sports updates.
The Showroom at Sea is a glamorous nightclub venue for revue-style entertainment shows. Dining choices include the two-deck high Rotterdam Dining Room; the relaxedLido Restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; the much-praised Pinnacle Grill, serving fine cuts of meat and delicious seafood; and the Canaletto Restaurant where the Italian gastronomic evening begins with the chef's selection of antipasti and continues all the way to tempting desserts.
