The sleek, elegant Rotterdam was launched in 1997 and offers travellers the opportunity to travel in style on a ship that harks back to a more traditional experience.
Impressive accommodation is a feature throughout the 1,404-passenger ship, with five major categories of staterooms and suites over five decks. The recently introduced Lanai Staterooms feature sliding glass doors that lead out onto the Lower Promenade Deck. Rotterdam also features a selection of larger suites; the biggest of which provides an impressive 1,127 sqft of accommodation space.
Rotterdam's main La Fontaine Dining Room offers five-course menus with deft service. The Lido Restaurant is a perfect option for a wide selection of buffet choices, while the Terrace Grill offers pizza and burgers. You can also chose from two speciality dining venues: the Canaletto Restaurant is perfect for Italian cuisine and the Pinnacle Grill serves outstanding steaks and seafood. Once each cruise, the Pinnacle Grill is transformed into 'Taste of De Librije', featuring cuisine from top Dutch chef Jonnie Boer.
The Queen's Show Lounge features revue shows and variety acts, while the Crow's Next, which offers sweeping views by day, is transformed into a hip nightclub when the sun goes down. The trendy new 'Mix' lounge combines a Martini bar with a Champagne bar and a sports bar. The Greenhouse Spa offers an array of therapies, while the Retreat boasts sophisticated poolside amenities. A Digital Workshop offers tuition in digital photography, blogging and social networking. Younger guests can be taken care of at Club HAL and the Loft; where a series of age appropriate activities are available.
