Luxury Cruises with P&O Cruises

Spain & Portugal,

The 2,016-passenger Oceana is one of P&O Cruises' mid-sized ships, with an attractive, four-deck-high atrium. One of the most popular ships in the company's fleet, the informal atmosphere makes Oceana particularly attractive to families, with a host of fun facilities for children of all ages. The large open decks have swimming pools and splash pools as well as whirlpools, while there's a sports court for tennis, soccer and basketball, table tennis and golf nets. The Oasis Spa offers a variety of relaxing treatments and the Fitness Centre with men's and women's sauna and steam rooms offers a variety of classes including aqua, step and salsa.

There are 25 cabin grades on Oceana, varying from suites with private balcony to mini-suites and outside view cabins with private balcony, outside view cabins with picture window and inside cabins. Many cabins have third and fourth-person upper bunk beds, which are ideal for families with children; and all cabins have tea and coffee-making facilities. All accommodation types have Slumberland mattresses and snug duvets. The largest accommodations are six Suites, two on each of three decks at the aft of the ship; these boast a dining table and large private balcony affording great views over the stern.

There are two main dining rooms: one with traditional set seating at 6.30 pm and 8.30 pm and the other offering Freedom Dining, allowing you to arrive between 6 pm and 8:30 pm and sit with whomever you choose. Oceana also has two reservations-only dining venues: the Horizon Grill, high up on the ship on Deck 14, and our particular favourite - the acclaimed Marco Pierre White-inspired Cafe Jardin atop the Atrium which specialises in Mediterranean cuisine.
