Disney Dream

Luxury Cruises with Disney Cruise Line

Two decks taller than its older sisters, Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, the 2,500-passenger Disney Dream boasts an enhanced range of family-focused activities and inventive on board features, all the while retaining its stylish Art Deco interior design; Disney's ships are designed to resemble the gracious liners of yesteryear.

Younger family members will love the AquaDuck water coaster, a giant, enclosed waterslide. Kids will delight in character meet-and-greets with all their favourite cartoon stars and will find plenty of distraction at Pixie Hallow and Andy's Room at the Oceaneer Club; while teens can mingle with fellow shipmates at Vibe. These character 'experiences' are the backbone of Disney cruises and there's no shortage of opportunities to greet Mickey and the crew on board Disney Dream. A novel addition is a 15-ft tall Mickey representing the Sorcerer's Apprentice, attached to the stern.

Disney's prodigious stage shows always draw a full house with their intricate sets, beloved songs and captivating performances. The Walt Disney Theatre on Disney Dream offers up much-loved favourites like the 'Golden Mickeys' and 'Villains Tonight,' as well as 'Disney's Believe' show. The popular 'Pirates in the Caribbean' party now features a sing-along early in the evening for kids called 'Mickey's Pirates in the Caribbean', this is followed by a later party for teens called 'Club Pirate' in which Jack Sparrow rappels off the funnel.

There are nine grades of accommodation on Disney Dream ranging from Concierge Royal Suite with veranda to Inside Staterooms which have nifty 'Magical Portholes - flat screens designed to look like portholes above the beds which project a real-time view outside the ship by means of high-definition cameras and a live video feed (although the occasional starfish or Disney favourite might make an appearance, too). We particularly like the four main dining rooms including Animator's Palate; Cabanas; Enchanted Garden; and Royal Palace, as well as the two adults-only dining options of Palo and the highly-acclaimed French gourmet option - Remy.
