Luxury Cruises with Oceania Cruises

Southern Cross Explorer

With its sense of warm luxury and intimacy, Regatta creates the ambiance of a private country club. A high level of personalised service provided by the 400 crew is a notable aspect of this mid-size 684-passenger ship. A recent innovation for Regatta is the inclusion of more overnight stays in ports allowing you extra time ashore for explorations of charming towns and pretty anchorages where life assumes a more authentic character when other, larger ships, have set sail.

Regatta has four distinct, opens seating restaurants. Exceptional cuisine is a hallmark of Oceania Cruises who work with distinguished chefs from around the world to ensure guests savour some of the most creative cuisine at sea. Menus crafted by world-renowned master chef Jacques Pépin are a feature of the Grand Dining Room where the emphasis is on regional cuisine. Lunches and dinners in the Terrace Cafe offer a wide selection of local specialities, while Toscana and Polo Grill elevate intimate dining to new heights.

On Regatta you set your own schedule, activities include enrichment lectures and classes in fitness, photography and art. If you want to be pampered, head to the Canyon Ranch SpaClub; if you feel athletic, hit the gym. Relaxation can be in a leather armchair in the ship's elegant library or a Supremely comfortable sun-lounger by the pool. In the evening a pianist plays familiar melodies in Martinis, while a string quartet fills the Upper Hall with classical favourites. You can see a movie or take in a comedian or singer in the Lounge; join in the occasional karaoke session or dance to the accomplished band in Horizons; and if you feel lucky, you can play roulette or black jack in the small casino.
