Luxury Cruises with P&O Cruises

The Brit-popular ambiance that is omnipresent aboard Aurora is being enhanced with a new look livery design that celebrates P&O Cruises' heritage and its place as Britain's oldest cruise company. It features a contemporary version of the Union Flag on its bow and new blue funnels with illuminated rising sun designs. Now 'Rule Britannia' will have even more resonance when it is played by the band on the quayside at Southampton before sailing. Other enhancements in the £26 million pound make-over include the introduction of Sindhu restaurant, with its Indian fusion menu designed by Michelin-star celebrity chef Atul Kochhar. The new Glass House restaurant and wine bar, with vintages selected by expert and TV presenter Olly Smith, will, we feel sure, become popular for brunch, lunch and dinner.

Other innovations on Aurora include the introduction of Freedom Dining to the Medina Restaurant with more tables for two; as well as a menu featuring celebrity chef Marco Pierre White's dishes on gala evenings. The Beach House menu now includes family favourites such as fillet of beef which you can cook yourself on hot lava rocks; and the Sidewalk Cafe now has a Costa Coffee 'Grab and Go' counter - a great option for a quick breakfast or lunch before heading off on shore excursions.

Aurora is designed as a classic oceangoing vessel and is ideally suited to world cruising. When she's not on her world voyage, Aurora offers a full schedule of port calls across the Mediterranean, Baltic and the Norwegian Fjords, as well as the Canary Islands; this 1,874-passenger ship is also deployed on transatlantic cruises to the USA & Canada. Accommodation ranges from inside cabins and outside cabins to balcony cabins, mini-suites, suites and two double-height penthouses.
