Luxury Cruises with Princess Cruises

Launched in 1998, the 1,998-passenger Sea Princess, one of the older ships in the fleet, is spacious without being overwhelming. The ship is based in Australia and caters to Australian tastes - but what's novel about this elegant vessel is the fact that it will embark on a world cruise in May 2015, sailing from Sydney, via the Indian Ocean, to Europe, exploring Europe all summer and returning via the Atlantic, Panama Canal and Pacific on a 104-day epic voyage.

With an innovative design, warm colours and refined décor enhance Sea Princess'sinviting atmosphere. A recent remodelling has added the highly-praised retreat known as the Sanctuary - a tranquil haven on deck, just for adults. Another popular feature is 'Movies Under The Stars' where first-run films are shown on the spectacular LED screen just forward of the funnel on Riviera Deck, ranging from modern blockbustersto classical concerts.

In the evenings, every public room on the ship has some form of entertainment, whether it's the elegant Wheelhouse Bar or the retro Crooners Bar in the atrium. The large Vista Lounge has nightly cabaret shows and variety acts. The Princess Theatre is the venue for revues where a troupe of singers and dancers perform Broadway and West End favourites. Daytime activities feature the ScholarShip@Sea educational programme as well as classes in ballroom and line dancing.

'AnytimeDining' is available in the Rigoletto Dining Room; fixed dining operates in the Traviata Dining Room. Alternative restaurants on board include Café Corniche - a tiered pizzeriaand brasserie, and the Sterling Steakhouse, which serves gargantuan steaks and salads that are prepared tableside. The Horizon Court offers a more informal dinner buffet and has tables on deck; it's is a popular option with families and those who prefer a more relaxed dress code.
