As you would expect from a retreat once owned and restored by John Paul Getty, La Posta Vecchia doesn’t stint one iota on extravagance and style. Subsequently transformed into an exquisite hotel which retains its former owner’s art and tapestry collection, this romantic location to the north west of Rome is, to the New York Times, a place where, “you easily succumb to a fantasy that you are guests of an aristocrat”.
Set in secluded parkland overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, La Posta Vecchia exudes the charm of the past whilst offering every conceivable facility of today. Its extraordinary Master Suites brim with art treasures, and its lounges offer cool relaxation where the service is both deft and unobtrusive.
Dining is a gastronomic delight, with meals taken either in the interior restaurant with its silk drapes and tables topped with antique marble, or outside on the terrace by the sea. The chef creates delicious Mediterranean cuisine, using the freshest ingredients – much of it grown in the hotel’s vegetable garden.
You’ll find more rare antiques inside the hotel’s small museum, established to display the artefacts discovered here from the days when the Julius Caesar set came to play. When it comes to play, pleasures such as the tranquil pool, private beach and nearby golf and Rome itself (just half an hour away) await. Few experiences in life come close to the perfection offered by La Posta Vecchia |

All have air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, lounge area and sea or garden views. Junior Suites have a seperate lounge, whilst the various themed suites all offer unique touches.
