Split between ‘Le Mas’ – an imaginatively transformed 18th-century farmhouse – and ‘La Bastide’ – a more recent Manor house, Le Mas Candille nestles quietly on the hillside above Cannes amongst four hectares of Provençal parkland. Located on the edge of the enchanting hilltop village of Mougins and surrounded by mature cypress trees and terraces of old olive groves that conceal secret hideaways and reveal dramatic views across the Pre-Alps, Le Mas Candille is an oasis of tranquillity and peace.
The hotel has 39 rooms and one suite, most with private balconies or terraces, plus two heated pools. La Mas Candille is an eclectic mix of old style architecture and modern facilities. The rooms are richly furnished in opulent fabrics and feature original ‘objects d’art’. Meals at the beautiful Restaurant Candille can be taken in the warm, romantic surroundings of the restaurant or alfresco beneath the dappled shade of magnificent pine and olive trees. On other nights you may prefer the informality of the poolside restaurant La Pergola or the Bar du Mas with its stunning vistas over Grasse. Guests may also dine in the privacy of their room or the peace of the grounds.
Unwinding at Le Mas Candille is completed at the stunningly beautiful Zen-style Shiseido Spa – the first in Europe offering the unique Qi method treatments – which offers a range of treatments that balance Oriental and Western philosophies. Each of the four luxurious treatment rooms features its own tranquil Japanese-style garden, while the two luxurious outdoor Jacuzzis and fitness area offer a place to relax and re-energise. |
