More than twelve hundred years ago, the dusky outlines of Arab dhows were first seen across the azure horizons of the Indian Ocean waters that washed the eastern shores of Africa. They came across the idyllic island of Zanzibar and its archipelagos; a scented land of coconuts and spices.
