Italian-owned MSC Cruises offers voyages worldwide on a large fleet of ships of varying vintage, aimed at an international audience. You'll sail with guests from Italy, Spain, France and other European countries in the Mediterranean and travelling companions from the USA and South America in the Caribbean and beyond.
On its newer ships, MSC has a secret weapon: The Yacht Club. This separate area of the ship takes suite accommodation to a new level. It's a private haven, accessible by special lift and a key card, with its own deck, pool, lounge, restaurant and a range of suites in an undeniably glamorous setting, with splashes of gorgeous inlaid marble and staircases encrusted with Swarovski crystal. We cannot recommend The Yacht Club enough for anybody wanting the buzz and activity of a big, lively ship but the attention to detail and extra quality of a suite in a more serene environment.
Other reasons to travel with MSC include year-round departures in the Mediterranean, should you fancy a winter break away from the crowds; and the fact that children up to the age of 18 travel free of charge when sharing with their parents, which means the holiday budget will stretch further. The ships have some unusual features, too. A 4D cinema provides a sensory adventure and thrill ride, while each of the newer ships has a Formula One simulator, which is great fun to 'drive'.
