Azamara Club Cruises offers comfort and attentive service on two elegant, boutique-style ships, Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest.
Carrying 686 guests each, the vessels are small enough to provide an intimate setting in which the crew know you by name but large enough to offer impressive facilities, not least an attractive pool deck, a luxurious spa, a beautiful library and a choice of fine dining restaurants. What's more, the ships are both all-inclusive, so bar drinks, gratuities, mineral water and speciality coffees are all included in the price.
In 2016, Azamara's ships will explore the world, from the Mediterranean and the Baltic to the Caribbean, Central and South America, Asia and Australasia. Wherever it sails, the company focuses very much on what it calls 'destination immersion'. This means imaginative itineraries with unusual ports and some genuinely creative tours. A range of 'Insider Access' excursions was launched for 2015 to take clients closer to the local culture; for example, visiting a private estate in the medieval Italian town of Lucca to learn first-hand about local history.
Something we particularly love about this cruise line is the fact that the ships stay port for the evening wherever possible; a warm summer's night is often the most appealing time of day to stroll ashore and enjoy a digestif in a local bar.
We find our clients also choose Azamara specifically for the 'AzAmazing Evening' events, a special celebration on each voyage when guests are treated to an exclusive gathering in a special venue, whether it's cocktails in a castle or a private concert under the moonlight - and it's all included in the price.
