The departure of well-loved General Manager, Hamish Watson, brought a long era in the life of Cobblers Cove to a close. New manager, Ross Stevenson, brings a fresh touch of expertise while promising to continue the hotel's tradition of genteel hospitality and top notch service, as befits its status as a member of Relais & Châ´¥aux. Cobblers Cove is a little corner of Englishness in a tropical setting.
The original Plantation House resembles a genteel English country home, while the interiors of the 40 suites mix traditional Caribbean rattan furniture and cushioned sofas to comfortable effect. Each has its own kitchenette and a living room opening on to a private patio or balcony with views of the sea or the manicured gardens. For uninterrupted views of the beach, opt for a Deluxe Oceanfront Suite, and for the utmost in luxury, experience the Camelot and Colleton Suites, elegant dwellings with rooftop terraces and private plunge pools.
Below Camelot and Colleton is the open-sided Terrace restaurant, where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The French-trained chefs make the most of fresh local produce in an array of delicious dishes, accompanied by an extensive wine list. Take afternoon tea on the terrace or in the English-style sitting room of the Plantation House, also a relaxing venue for evening cocktails. Live music adds to the ambience on some evenings.
During the day, take a dip in the pool, play tennis or enjoy a range of complimentary water sports from the white sand cove, be it water-skiing, windsurfing, sailing or snorkelling.
Located further north than many of the west coast resorts, the hotel provides a true sense of retreat, blended with genuine friendliness.
Camelot and Colleton Suites
English country-house-style combined with tropical extravagance, has resulted in two romantic havens. The Colleton's spacious rooms are graced by warm colours and antique furniture, alongside an Empress-sized bed, marble bathroom with Jacuzzi, and outdoor dining area - perfect for starlit evenings. The Camelot's fresh tones, marble floors and sumptuous fabrics create an equally charming ambience for its four poster bed, extensive lounge and marble bathroom. Both suites enjoy rooftop terraces, featuring plunge pool, bar and fabulous sea views. |
